The livelihood of a neighborhood is closely related to the juxtaposition of different programs on the ground floors of its buildings. This housing project expresses its embrace of vibrant city life in its spatial model by incorporating a sequence of courts that connects the activated ground floor with the street. To ensure a beneficial relationship between the activated ground floor and the residential spaces above it, the project applies a flexible system consisting of different permeability levels at the block perimeter to periodically regulate the degree of occupancy.
